Sibucao is a natural hard redwood with a beautiful red-orange or orange-colored wood. If used for jewelry, sibucao wood will darken and become even more beautiful with age as it absorbs oils from the skin. The beads carry a decorative inlay of multicolored abalone (paua) shell. There is one on each side of the bead for lots of colorful flash. This is natural shell that is hand set, so please allow for some surface differences and variation between beads.
